Lokum Turkish Grill

Authentic and delicious Turkish cuisine! The food was delicious, we tried a range of meals including lamb meal, dips, munta, cheesy gozleme & lahmahcun. With Chi and Kunefe for desert. All meals were hot, flavourful & delicious. By far better than other Turkish restaurants that we have had in the west. The restaurant is small inside so not ideal for large family gatherings, expect to wait if you visit during peak times.

Checked out the Lokum Grill last weekend and was pleasantly surprised with how great it was! There are of course a lot of Turkish restaurants in the area, but this quickly became my favourite! We ordered the mixed meat plate with chicken and lamb, which came with rice, salad, dips and bread. Everything was delicious the meat was tender and juicy and was a decent sized serve, especially for the price. We ordered the spinach and cheese gozleme, which was so good! Crispy on the outside and the right amount of filling. The meals were quite large and between the two of us we couldn't finish everything so took the leftover gozleme home. I love the decor, colour scheme and styling in the restaurant and service was great. The music was a bit too loud which made it a bit hard to have a conversation.

Amazing food! Top tier - was juicy, tender nice flavour. And awesome value for money. Although, the chips were cold when served. Sad but was minor compared the rest. Food aside, the biggest problem with this place is that it’s suffering from its own success. This place is mega busy and the venue can’t handle it. We made a reservation and by the time we got a table it took over 20 minutes. I don’t think it’s the owners fault how were they to know this place would be so popular? But a solution could be to improve the outside seating area. Rain renders the outdoor area useless as it’s all wet. This may not be possible but if you extend the roof cover above then install outdoor heaters. This would be make outdoor dining viable and take the pressure off the indoor tables. It’s a massive problem, there were 2 people outside waiting that saw the state of the restaurant that they decided to leave. This needs a fix I too almost considered leaving and as this was my first time coming. Nevertheless, the food was delicious will be back someday.

MAAAAAATEEEE, forget all your kebab shops you think was good, this is the best in the West and all of what I know in Melbourne. This was my plate that I ordered but forgot to take a picture from the excitement of the food. Crazy portions, amazing taste and freshness. Breads and dips alone amazing. Definitely will bring my guests from Sydney here! Highly recommend this beautiful place. Also tried the San Sebastian pistachio cake 100/10 melted in the mouth. All made to be the best. Love this place thank you for the experience and service guys !

Absolutely incredible experience! The food was bursting with authentic Turkish flavors—perfectly grilled meats, fresh mezes, and the best baklava I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Can’t wait to come back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Lokum Turkish Grill and was blown away. The food is nothing short of exceptional – everything from the meat to the fresh salads was packed with flavour and made with clear attention to detail. The Mixed Meal was a standout – generous portions, perfectly cooked meats, and an amazing selection of dips. Service was warm and friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and welcoming. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. I’d give it more stars if I could – definitely coming back!
